Hello! My full name is Shalay Ray-Jean Garcia Little, and at SVA, I’m known as “Ms. Garcia”. I’m originally from Bronx, NY but moved here to Arizona 3 years ago from North Carolina. I graduated from high school with a HS Diploma as well as an AAS in General Studies. I am married and have a fur baby named Malu (it means “shadow” in Polynesian). I am a Paraprofessional for K-2nd grade and am so excited to be apart of the SVA Family! Although my job is to assist teachers in their classroom, my personal mission at SVA is to teach social and emotional learning skills and techniques to our scholars through the use of fun and engaging activities. Our scholars will not only grow academically here at SVA, but socially , emotionally, and mentally! You will always find me either in the hallways or in the classrooms smiling behind my mask!
